My Story

Oak Park has been my home for 25 years. I now have grandchildren and there is nothing like seeing a new generation grow to trigger reflections on the importance of education.

My son had a very good experience with his middle school and high school years here in Oak Park and he went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to get a degree in mechanical engineering. OPUSD cares for students with a plethora of talents and I want to ensure that all our students have the support that has characterized the District for decades.

I hope to bring insights from my work and board experience to serve the OPUSD. I have an MBA in Finance from Rutgers and have worked in both the credit aspects of banking and the IT integration requirements of accounts payable and accounts receivable systems. I have a particular focus on the healthcare sector and its substitution of electronic documents for paperwork.

Other non-profit work

  • Past President of the SOCAL Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and all other board positions. (Sec, Treasurer etc)

  • Chair of the California Fall Conferences, an HFMA educational program that gathered healthcare speakers and professionals to a three day event. (10 years)

The OPUSD has enriched the lives of many students and we owe a debit of gratitude to teachers, administrators and parents and applause for our students. I hope to support those members of our District community as we move forward.
